Getting ready for a Women's Luncheon

I am getting a table at a Women's Luncheon. So now that things in life have slowed down a bit I am working on getting my card stash back. Tonight was my first attempt at getting ready for the luncheon. While watching two of my favorite shows the Mary Mary reality show and Scandal (i love both of these shows soooo much) I created these two cards.

I love the leopard print flowers I found in AC Moore. I should have bought all of them. Smh. The pattern paper is of course one of my all time faves Basic Grey.

Student of the Month

For the last 8 months we have been wondering if Danielle would actually get Student of the Month. Month after Month we wondered. What is the criteria for Student of the month? Especially after seeing it on the school calendar listed according to classroom number. Danielle grumbled many a day "how come I never get student of the month?". I said maybe it has something to do with attendance. She missed at least 3 or 4 days of school over the 3 marking period. So that's what we assumed. Until yesterday! She came home with a student of the month certificate tucked away nicely in her bag. She was so excited she forgot to tell us about it Lol. I asked her how was her day as usual. And she said good. I ask anything special happen at school. She said no. I remembered she had the awards assembly that day so I asked her did she get her honor roll certificate and she said something about the teacher having to do it over. Then she screams. Oh mommy I forget. I got Student of the Month. So proud of this little girl. She is the best kid a mother could ask for.

Pinterest meets Instagram

So I posted the creations I made for Danielle's teacher to Instagram after I created them. My online friend Ms. Mel asked me to post them to pinterest so I did. Look at all the love I got. I was so excited. It really made me smile :)
