Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

Yesterday was my 38th Birthday!!! I decided to wear one of my favorite colors.  Anndddd I got a new do!!!

Grateful to see another year. The Lord has been very gracious to me and i am soooo glad!!!

For my birthday I decided to upgrade my phone. I joined the Android family after using a blackberry since 2009. I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S3.   It has been an adjustment.  I really miss my keyboard!

I have not done any crafting in about two weeks. I will be doing some crafting later on in the week. I have a mask to alter.

Happy 8th Birthday Danielle

So my babygirl is now 8! Wow time has really gone by. We celebrated her this past  weekend. Her birthday was on Thursday so her dad and I too her to Friendly's. Then on Friday she had a sleepover at a hotel. That worn me out but she had a great time. Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Very cute Sketch....I was trying to find some flourishes to use, but no such luck....so I used some other things I think worked quite nicely!

Another Layout!! Can you believe it?

So I was catching up on my blog reading and I was reading Tamika's blog and came across this sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap. I'm reading and not paying attention. I thought this was the current sketch...lol ...so anyway here is the one I used



Here's my take. I had to take a picture gotta practice more with scanner it's not cooperating:

This is my daughter on Sunday morning as we were getting in the car to go to church. Sunday was youth sunday and the kids were in charge of our 5th Sunday Breakfast. Danielle read the story of the Prodigal Sun and answered question. She really did a great job.

I am also gonna take a stab at the sketch that came out yesterday, just gotta find some pictures.

I tried to do a card sketch today and it was kinda blah for me. Guess I'll try again tomorrow  because I really want to be great at card making and scrapbooking layouts...lol

Ok so I am having a great time jumping in and doing these card sketches.  I am not having much luck with layout sketches yet.  I completed a scrapbook for my Assistant Pastor last weekend...so I know my mojo on layouts hasn't totally left, but when I tried to do a layout this week, I didn't have much success.  I have a pretty busy weekend ahead of me so I am not sure I will be able to do anymore crafting this week. We shall see.

Mojo Monday 259

My brother and sister inlaw have moved into their new home. They have invited us over as a family for dinner to see the house with all it's furnishings. I had on my agenda for this evening after church to make a card for them.  I had also prepared a sheet of skecthes that I wanted to complete and post.  As I looked over my sheet I realized the Mojo Monday Sketch is due Sunday and the others are due next friday. Soo I decided to make their card based on this sketch:

I really like how this card came together, the sketch was so easy to work with...Wow I have been creative almost every night/morning this week ...Go Meee!!! 

Almost done my altoid tins.  That measuring and cutting was giving me a fit!!! I  am glad I only had to complete three...geez!!! after that it's on to my Fall cuts for the other swap I am in....Still thinking of what to do..hmmmmmm....

Welcome to the World of Second Grade

 

 

Today was Danielle's first day of school. Well it was a 1/2 of a school day. She was excited when she came home. Her main complaint was that it was hot.  lol. Well that's how it goes in Philadelphia School District not many of the schools have air conditioning. We will see what the next few weeks bring and how this school year goes. I am praying for a great year for my daughter and all the children everywhere.

Trying to respark my creativity

So I have been a member of facebook swap group since January.  The group is called Scrappin Sista Monthy Swaps. I have participated in two swaps successfully so far to aid in getting started being creative again.  The first was a Altered Dominoe Swap which got me to buy an embossing gun and some embossing powders for the first time. Working with the embossing powders was interesting. I wished I had worked a little more on them, but I think they turned out ok.

 I think this last swap has got be feening to try jewelry making and get back to scrapbooking.  We did a Swival Charm Swap. Here is  a sneak peek

 

I loved the end result. I will share them on my blog after the reveal is made next week. After working on these I made a few things. .  I made a pair of earrings

and I started my first SMASH book!!!\

Spending Quality Time with Danielle & Make up

Now that Danielle is back to being the only kid in the house. I started making sure she feels special. In the summer I have Friday's off.  So every Friday this month we have been spending the entire day together doing something.  The first friday we went to the movies to see Diary of a Wimpy kid. To hear Danielle crack up at this movie made me smile and laugh. She was funnier than the movie to me.  Here she is as we waited for them to turn the lights on in the theater before the movie started (we were a bit early due to being to late for the earlier show).

Last Friday we went to the nail salon in the morning and then to the MAC Style Seeker Makeover at King of Prussia Mall. The latter was more of a treat for me but hey I am sure Danielle enjoyed it too. 

We also stopped by Old Navy and took advantage of their summer sale and got few summer items for Danielle.

Here is a few more shots of Danielle and I at the mac Event, the first photo is the photo they took at the event (which was spectacular by the way) and the second is one I took myself with my blackberry.

I sent these pics to hubby and he approved of my new lip gloss purchase...lol.  I purchased the Hidden Treasue Blush and the Restlee Lip Gloss... I may go back and get the eyeshadow next month we shall see. Here are the items I purchased:

She used these products from the newline on my eyes. This rich ground (just a repromote not new) paintpot..i really like this sort of forgot she used this....the only paintpot I have is reubenesque which is really gold...this rich ground is very natural really would be a nice neutral for me.

I also changed my concealer to NW35 from NC 45 really liking the look of it now :)
