Sketch 43 - Happy Birthday

I gave this card to my dear friend Khalilah. I made the card 5.5 inches by 5.5 inches and used some Basic Grey Pyrus. I sprayed the chipboard with brown and irridescent maya mist. I added a Jenni Bowlin butterfly and two Queen & Co. Brads.  I had to cut it down to get it fit into envelope. I really like how it turned out.  Do you want to try your hand at the sketch?  Oh you do! We now have a 6 year old in the house

Here she is having fun in the park attempting to climb the monkey bars...She wasn't as jubilant after trying.  She really wants to climb the monkey bars but is very afraid and gives up way to quickly.  Well we will keep at it, maybe by 7 she'll be ready..

She started school this fall and as I began to think about her starting school all my concerns and feelings spilled onto to this scrapbook page. I had done it for a challenge but never posted because I had never in my life wrote so much on a page.  I am glad to report that I know my prayers for my daughter are heard and are being answered every day!!! Happy Birthday Danielle!!! I LOVE YOU!!!  This Danielle three years ago wearing my shoes.

I finished the card and took pic and remembered I had some red bling. Glad I did I really like the way the red makes the card pop.

More Cards

I was on a roll last night I made a total of ten cards. Yes I said ten. I only used scraps too. Please excuse the pics they are from my blackberry.

World Cardmaking Day

I know it was Saturday and I did make some cards and well some bookmarks. The funny thing is I have been making cards all week! Surprising huh? Well here they are:

These first two cards are made with scraps. I'm on a mission to get rid of my scraps so I plan on doing this for the rest of the year or until they are gone down to at least one container. I am not going to tell you how many containers I have of just scraps. Try using your scraps from your layouts to make a card when you are done with your layout. Tiare of Scrapnfit introduced me to this technique.

Did you notice a pattern? I learned a new technique. My friend showed me how to ruffle ribbon. I was getting my practice in. You know how it is when you learn a new technique, you do it until you get tired. Am I the only person that does that?

Artist Trading Cards are miniature works of art created on 2 ½ X 3 ½ inch. I am participating in a swap over at Urban Scrappers. We are doing the alphabet and I chose the letter N. I used the word Need and found quotes and attached the quotes to the ATCs. Here are my ATCs that were sent in the mail today.
